Mothers’ hopes

NICOSIA Greek Cypriot mothers have appealed to their Turkish Cypriot counterparts to join hands “for a peaceful future for our children’s children.” The appeal — on International Mothers’ Day — called for a joint organisation to help save Cyprus and create conditions for a peaceful future. The mothers also appealed to the United Nations secre-tary-general, Kurt Waldheim, to see that United Nations resolutions regarding information on missing persons and undeclared prisoners were implemented. _
