N. Harnett suspended
(N.Z. Press Association) RIVERTON. The Wingatui apprentice, N. Harnett, was suspended until after April 26 on the second day of the Riverton Racing Club’s Easter Carnival yesterday. After the running of the Novice Stakes, Harnett, who rode Easter Hero, was charged with careless riding, causing Belle Vite (S. Prince) to be checked at the 800 m. The committee upheld the charge and suspended Harnett. Suspension.— G. Cooksley was suspended for three riding days at Feilding yesterday. Cooksley, the rider of Lankistaan in the Sandon Maiden, was charged with causing interference to Chestta Lad near the 600 m and the charge was found proven. Cooksley was suspended from the completion of yesterday’s racing up until after April 28.
