Javelin win to Afakazee
(N.Z. Press Association> PICTON. The Auckland yacht Afakazee (Craig Gilbert and Denzil Ibbetson) won the national Javelin class yachting championship at Picton during the week-end. After four races there were still a number of serious contenders for the coveted Ray Eade Trophy. Afakazee was one point ahead of Tina (lan McGill and Roger Floyd). Third was Marmalade (Brian Woods and Fred Barrow). Among other prominent craft in the series was Kehua (Dave Elder and Ross May) of Christchurch.
