Public Notices ZjK New Zealand Mfc/Forest Service AERIAL POISON OPERATION. 1976 , NOTICE is hereby given that 1080 Poison for Opossum Control will be laid in the following areas:— REEFTON — BLACKWATER, SNOW RIVER Blocks VII VIII, XI, Xn, XVI Mawheraiti S.D.. Blocks V, IX, XIII Waitahu S.D. WESTPORT: HOWARD WILLIAMS Blocks 111, Ohlka S.D., Blocks VII, VIH Kawatiri S.D. These areas are between Coal Creek and second rail tunnel at the Nine Mile, Tekuha. ROY POWELLS Blocks VI, IX, Waitakere S.D. These areas are between Deep Creek and just past the Four Mile River on the coastal fringe. Areas affected will be State Forest or adjacent Private Land. A map of the exact areas may be inspected at N.Z. Forest Service office, Reef ton and Westport. The poison will be in the form of cut carrot impregnated with 1080 poison and will be aerially spread by fixed wing aircraft.
