Treasures seized
The police have seized several thousand sterling worth of Cypriot treasures, due to be auctioned by Christie's, because of a dispute over ownership. Scotland Yard’s arts and antiques squad took eight lots of figurines and other antiquities from Christie’s, after the Cyprus Government asked for them to he withdrawn from sale while Interpol investigated who owned them. — London.
