Greymouth stops 4
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH. The Social Welfare Department in Greytnouth has stopped payment of the weekly domestic purposes benefit to three solo mothers because it feels they are living in de facto relationships. In another recent case, the department stopped payment after a solo mother made a voluntary declaration that she was receiving the benefit illegally.
