‘Thursday’ to go
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The weekly magazine, “Thursday.” will cease publication on May 24. The publishers, Wilson and Horton, Ltd, of Auckland, said in a statement that markedly lower levels of national advertising, accentuated by recent uneconomic competition from discounted television advertising, had increased the losses incurred by “Thursday” to about $200,000 annually.
