Hockey into semi-finals
University and High School Old Boys, the finalists in the Trans Tours indoor hockey competition for the last three years, have made the semi-finals of this season’s competition to be played next Thursday.
Several interesting features have emerged from the lists of semi-finalists which were decided this week. Three clubs have al! their team entries in the semi-finals. University has three teams, High School Old Boys two, and Selwyn-Hillmorton, a young side that is staging a revival, also has two. The success of Rollerdrome is afso a feature. A team of roller hockey players, it entered the "skate free” game last year The semi-final games will be: ■
Division I: University v. Selwyn-Hillmorton, High School Old Boys v. Supporters. Division IT: Redcliffs v. University, High School Old Boys v. Linwood United. Division III: SelwynHillmorton v. Rollerdrome, Harewood-Bumside v. University. Women's division: Carlton v. Rawhiti, Burnside v. Cranmer. Results of the final rounds of section play this week were:— Division I—Sydenham-Cashmere 5, Linwood United 3; Supporters 5, Woolston Working Men’s Club 1; University 5, High School Old ;Boys 3: HarewoorLßurnside 3, Selwyn-Hillmorton 3.
Division ll.—Hagley Old Boys 2, W.W.M.C. 1; Redcliffs 5, University 2; Ashburton 3, Linwood United 2; H. 5.0.8. 6, Sydenham 3.
