The United States Senate has approved a record $412,600m target for Government spending in 1977, increasing considerably President Ford’s Budget pro-; jections. The Senate proposals for. the fiscal year, which begins! on October 1, call for the; expenditure of $412,600m, against a revenue of $362.400m meaning a $50.2G0m deficit. President Ford’s latest revised spending plan had called for outlays of! $395.200m.
