Promise on tests

President Valery Giscard d’Estaing has promised the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) that no more French atmospheric nuclear tests will take place in the Pacific, Mr Muldoon said in Paris, Agence FrancePresse reported. The Prime Minister said the French leader had told him in a 50 minute meeting that French tests would now all be underground. President Giscard d’Estaing would not commit himself, however, on when the underground testing would end, Mr Muldoon said.
