$1m movie deal
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 14. A contract for the first joint New Zealand-Soviet venture in filmmaking was signed in Wellington today by Pacific Films, Ltd, and Goskino Films, Moscow. The production is expected ;to cost more than slm. Called “Faster than Your Shadow,” the film will deal with the livfes of a New Zealand athlete and a Soviet athlete. The contract was signed by Mr John O’Shea, producer and managing director of Pacific Films, and Mr G. Sholokhov, head of production for Goskino.
