He says that Cummings’ Leica Show will be the hardest to beat. But Smith and Cummings differ greatly on the Sydney Cup. Smith says he does not think the New Zealander Oopik can win the Sydney Cup, but Cummings thinks the opposite. *T don’t think Oopik is a true horse over 3200 m, the distance of the Sydney Cup,” Smith said. “I saw him in the Wellington Cup and I thought that had he been good enough he would have won but he could finish! only third,” Smith said.
