A party of 25 men and 10 women will add to a recent pattern of cricket clubs in Christchurch which raise money, individually and collectively, for tours such as this one. This match was organised by a former senior Sydenham wicketkeeper, Ray Kirton. The party will reach Singapore on April 19. On Wednesday, April 21, and the next day it will meet an Armed Forces team. It will play the Singapore Cricket Club on April 24. the Singapore national team on April 25. It then goes to Kuala Lumpur to play the Selangar club on April 27. After that, there is a visit to

Penang, where, it is hoped, there will be another match. The Sydenham side returns to Singapore and gets back to Christchurch on May 2. The captain for the tour is the former Canterbury player, Dave Gallop. Graham Pilkington is the tour captain, Trevor Kerr the liaison officer.
