No date for Parliament
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The starting date for the new parliamentary session would not be announced before the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) returned from overseas, the acting Prime Minister (Mr Taiboys) said. He said after the morning session of the Cabinet that the question of calling Parliament together had been discussed briefly before Mr Muldoon left. Possible dates had been mentioned, but Mr Taiboys said he would not reveal these, and would not say whether the resumption of Parliament would be before July. The date, he said, would be announced by Mr Muldoon himself “shortly after” the Prime Minister returned to Wellington in early May.
