Power use down again

WELLINGTON, April 13 Electricity consumption last week was 5.1 per cent below the national guidelines.
“Oil generation continued at a reduced level again last week, the fuel cost being $520,000 for the week.” said Mr P. W. Blakeley, general manager of the Electricity Department today. Lake storage in the North Island was maintained at 60 per cent of nominal full last week: South Island storage fell slightly to 82 per cent of nominal full.
