Restaurant not wanted
Proposals by Messrs Q. C. J. van der Veer and R. A. Ball to convert and add to the old brick kiln stables at 112-114 Centaurus Road and to use the building as a licensed restaurant were rejected at the Heathcote County Council’s townplanning committee meeting yesterday. The committee recommended the council to refuse town planning approval. The committee decided that the siting was almost totally at variance with the council’s planning scheme, and that the proposed use would detract from the neighbourhood and cause traffic problems
