200 women in Twizel protest
Z. Press Association! DUNEDIN. April 13. More than 200 women carrying placards and chanting slogans marched to the Upper Waitaki power project office in Twizel today in their second protest in support of the stand taken by their husbands >n their week-long dispute with the Ministry of Works and Development.
The women vowed on Monday to march in protest each day until the dispute is settled, and 126 took part in a march to the project office. Today 225 took part and marched in a circle in front of the project office for half an hour.
They were joined for the final 10 minutes by about 200 onlookers. There was no response to the march by Ministry officials.
