E.D.P. MANAGER is required for o prominent public company which manufactures and markets a diversified range of consumer products throughout New Zealand and for export. The head office is situated in Christchurch. This is a new position which recognises the important role of E.D.P. to the senior management team. DUTIES. Responsible to the finance Director for determining the company s Information needs, evaluating alternative methods of processing. Installing new systems actively training and developing staff, maintaining close liaison with all divisions in the organisation and effectively managing the E.O.P. Department. EQUIPMENT. Comprises a 81714 with 64K memory, 400 Ipm printer, 3 x 4.6 m bytes disks. 10K Byte tape unit, 300 card per minute 96 col reader punch, with Inforex 1302 and 5 key stations. QUALIFICATIONS. Age range flexible, desirably should have had proven experience in E.D.P. management, with the competence, keenness and self-motivation to develop effectively the further use of E.D.P. within the company to contribute to corporate decision-making.
