Higher wool prices holding

(N..Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. April 12. Wool prices were fully firm at the Dunedin sale today compared with the Auckland sale last Friday and the Christchurch ’wool sale last Wednesday. Merino fleece, halfbred fleece wool, and skirtings were in sellers’ favour compared with the Christchurch sale, according to the official report. Compared with the Auckland sale, crossbred fleece wool was very firm and inclined to sell in sellers’ favour. Crossbred skirtings, second shear, oddments, and crutchings were unchanged on Auckland values. First lambs sold in buyers' favour and second lambs met a firm market. Competition was good, most interest coming from the Continent and Eastern

Europe, with some support from Japan and local mills. The Wool Marketing Corporation gave nominal support, bidding oh 0.21 per cent of the catalogue and purchasing, or having passed to it, 28 ables, or 0.09 per cent of the offering. The following is tils official range of prices:—
