Gregory Peck and Virginia Mayo star in Captain Horatio Hornblower, the TV2 film based on a C. S. Forester novel. The early evening film on TV2, The Death Squad stars Melvyn Douglas and Robert Forester and TV2 has a late movie too — Night of the Eagle, with Janel Blair and Peter Wynegarde.

The Glen Campbell entertainment on TVI tonight came from a performance at Hamilton. The evening play, The Nearly Man won the Broadcasting Press Guild award for the best single play on British television in 1974.
Encounter on TV2 looks at two weeks in the life of the top athlete, John Walker. Television Two’s The Virgin Spring is based on a fourteenth century Swedish legend. It was directed by Ingmar Bergman.
