PROGRAMME
The programme for this year’s Hawarden show is similar to that of past shows, the only exception being that the Unity Cup children’s riding competition, which is usually held at 9.30 a.m., has been brought forward half an hour. The hack and pony events will also start at 9 a.m. Sheep, cattle and dogs will be judged at 10 a.m. and the horse events continue with the cobs being given their chance at 11 a.m. The Mount Hilton Cup for the best
beef animal an the ground will be at midday, while the riding classes are being held. The harness horses come in at 12.15 p.m., and spectators will be able to let their picnic lunches settle while watching the pony jumping at 1 p.m. The highlight of the day is the Grand Parade at 2 p.m., and this is followed by the F.E.I. horse-jumping events at 2.45 p.m. Included in the F.E.I. events is the open hunters class, sponsored by Rothmans.
