Do you enjoy an exciting outdoor life that offers a challenge and companionship? THE 2ND BATTALION ROYAL NEW ZEALAND INFANTRY REGIMENT CAN OFFER YOU JUST THIS!! You will be taught to become proficient in the use of many infantry weapons and learn how to operate the powerful but compact field radio. There will be the chance to tiain for such specialised jobs as Rifleman, Demolitions Handler, Radio Operator, Driver, Patrol Scout, Storeman or Clerk. Training involves a 12 week course in an army camp, followed by a number of training weekends throughout the year and a 14 day period in camp each New Year. Service with the Battalion is voluntary and you may withdraw after giving 24 hours’ notice. Become a highly-trained and physically fit specialist, the mainstay of all ground forces.
