Tonight the mother made another plea .for her son to contact home I in a taped telephone interview broadcast by Radio Avoji.

She said a.i man, claiming Ihe was her ion’s employer, telephoned linr collect last evening. Sher' was not sure if the caller Was genuine, but he said he contacted the boy yesterday moitming and he had read “The Prei;s” story. The man s.jild the boy did not want to Kall home because he wasi afraid of the police. Howisver, he had agreed to coaitact her son again and relißy his mother’s request to contact her. “He has lipthing to be afraid of,” sd id the boy’s mother. 1 “When he Contacts home, the missing persons file on him will be closed. The boy wad known to be working in 1 Christchurch under an assumed name late last year, but uqhen the police tried to contact him he had fled, leaving pdy uncollected.
