A young Methven farmer will leave for Australia next month on a three month trip as part of the exchange programme of the Federation of Young Farmers* Clubs. Mr Angus McKay, aged 22, will spend most of his
time in Tasmania, but will also visit the Sydney Royal Show at Easter. He is shown at left in the photograph with Mr A. D. Smith, the sales manager of the agricultural division of Andrews and Beaven, Ltd, which will pay for the cost of Mr McKay’s
travel to Australia and back. An old pupil of Methven High School, Mr McKay is secretary of the Methven Young Farmers’ Club. He farms with his father and brother, who is at present at Lincoln College.
