Critics say Cleese best
LONDON. Britain’s television critics have voted "Faulty Towers,” which featured John Cleese as the harassed, bumbling proprietor of a country hotel, the best comedy of 1975. “The Naked Civil Servant,” a dramatisation of a homosexual’s life story, won the best documentary award. It was made by Thames Television. A controversial BBC series, “Day of Hope.” which concerned the genera] strike of 1926, was named best series.
