Bid made for Bond holding
f.N.Z. Press Assn —Copyright) SYDNEY. Bond Corporation Holdings, Ltd, property developer, of Western Australia, has been offered almost sAust2l.sm for its shareholding in Robe River, Ltd. The offer was made by Burns Philp, and Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals Corporation, on behalf of a third company which would be owned by Bums Philp and a division of Engelhard. The third company, so far tin-named, would be owned 51 per cent by Burns Philp and 49 per cent by Philbro— The Phillip Brothers division of Engelhard.
Burns Philp and Philbro would provide the fund needed for the acquisition.
The offer is of 115 c a share for 18.5 m shares in Robe River at present held by Bond Corporation. Payment will be about $17.5m cash on a settlement date to be nominated, and the balance of just under s4.om on term at 97 per cent per annum.
