King Khalid of Saudi Arabia has promised 8300 m in aid to Egypt, to enable it tn meet “the urgent requirements of its people.'’ News of the pledge came in a joint statement issued , simultaneously in Cairo and Riyadh at the end of a State visit to Saudi Arabia by President Sadat of Egypt. It was necessary, too. that the independence. sovereignly and territorial integ rity of Lebanon should be maintained and that Leba non should continue to cooperate with the Palestine Resistance movement
