N.Z. Red Cross aids Guatemala

' The New Zealand Red Cross has released $lOOO for relief work in Guatemala, where more than 3000 are feared dead as a result of a major earthquake on Wednesday. The secretary-general of ithe New Zealand Red Cross (Mr J. W. Talbot) said that the money was an initial response. "Till things clarify and we see what is required, we think that is enough.” he said. By early next week the situation should be clear, and if New Zealand could supply anything, it would do its best to supply it.
