Public Trustee appointed
Mr Noel Kelly, who has been Deputy Public Trustee since 1968, will become Public Trustee on the retirement of Mr J. M. Fielder. | Mr Kelly, aged 52, apart [from war service and secondment to the Western I Samoa Public Service as AtI torney-General, has served jin the Public Trust Office ■ since joining as a cadet in 11939. He graduated LL.B. (1947) and LL.M. (1948) from 1 Auckland University, becomi ing district solicitor at Gisi borne and Tauranga, and ! later office solicitor in the I head office of the Public 'Trust in 1962. He was appointed an I assistant public trustee in I 1966 and has served as dep-i uty to the Public Trustee | since 1968. A specialist in trust and administrative law, Mr Kelly •has edited two editions of ' “Garrow’s Law of Trusts” land several other commentaries on legal subjects. With wide lecturing experience in legal and busiI ness subjects, Mr Kelly acts as an assessor of honours papers in trusts at Victoria I University.
He is also a member of the Public Trust Office Investment Board and the Accident Compensation Commission’s investment committee.
