HOLLANDIA TAKE-OVER

Hollandia, Ltd, builder and minerals explorer, plans to make a take-over bid for Norseman Gold Mines, N.L., a company closely associated with Pioneer Concrete Services, Ltd. The company would launch the offer as soon as documentation was completed and the necessary approvals obtained. said the chairman of Hollandia (Mr G. W. Raphael). Hollandia is already a shareholder in Norseman, but Mr Raphael did not reveal the size of the holding. It is possible that Hollandia has bought the 1.2 m Norseman shares held bv Patrick Nominees Proprietary, Ltd. This would give Hollandia an 18.1 per cent holding, in the West Australian gold miner and magnesite explorer. The largest shareholder in Norseman Gold Mines is Pioneer Concrete with 1.5 m, or 23 per cent of the company’s capital. Norseman Gold is currently investigating a magnesite deposit. 28 km east of Ravensthorpe. Two trial shipments of raw magnesite have been sent to an Austrian group for testing and results are expected in the near future.
