Mother said to have killed child
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) SYDNEY. A woman charged with the murder of her 10-month-old daughter told police the baby was “the daughter of Jehovah,’’ it was alleged in the Sydney City Court today. The police alleged that the woman choked her daughter by feeding her leaves and then buried her under a pile of leaves in a vacant home, in Sydney’s western suburbs. Denise Zelia Dunn, of Sale, Victoria, was charged with the murder of Elizabeth Dawn Dunn at Homebush on November 21. No plea was taken. A police officer said that he visited Mrs Dunn and her husband, Garry, on November 21. Mrs Dunn was lying on a mattress and her husband sat nearby holding a bunch of freshly-picked flowers. When he asked Mrs Dunn where her child was, she said: “She is with her real father—Garry is not her real father. She is with her spiritual father. She is the daughter of Jehovah —God.” Police dogs found the body. The hearing is continuing.
