Top hockey player injured
Ties Kruize, the famed penalty-comer striker of the Netherlands hockey team, and the .scourge of goal-keepers throughout the world, might have struck his last comer. Kruize was badly injured in a car accident six months ago u hen reluming home from a practice, and has been in hospital since with multiple fractures. Wouter Leefera. also a Netherlands representative. was in the car with Kruize but escaped without iniurs .
Kruize's injuries are so severe that :t is duubtiul whether he will ever play hockev again. He will be remembered in New Zealand as a member of the Netherlands team that played in the international tournament in Christchurch in February 1974
