Boat runs aground
(From Our Own Reporter) BLENHEIM, January 9.
A Lower Hutt couple were i badly injured when their ; boat ran aground at speed at Te Weka Bay in Tory ChanI nel last evening. ( They are Mr and Mrs J. F. (Duff, of 34 Military Road, (Lower Hutt. They were picked up by another boat and brought I into Picton, where they were : taken by ambulance to the (Wairau Hospital. ■ Mr Duff, who suffered i broken ribs and head inI juries, is reported in a satisfactory condition. Mrs Duff, who suffered head injuries and concussion, is described as fair. Another couple, who were also in the boat. were, (treated at the hospital and(discharged.
