EXECUTIVE OFFICER ENGINEERING INDUSTRY TRAINING BOARD APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for the position of Executive Officer to the above Board which serves the engineering metal trades, plastics and other related industries. The successful applicant will be required to implement the Board’s policies in education and training for all levels of personnel (shop floor to top management) in the above industries, through a team of five regional training advisers located in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. He will advise the Board on training policy, identify training needs and liaise with employer, employee and educational organisations at national and local levels. The location is in Wellington. Applicants shall provide evidence of organisational experience at management level and will require to have a readily acceptable personality, a broad appreciation of modern training purposes and functions and an ability to communicate with personnel at all levels. Appropriate engineering professional and/or academic qualifications are preferred, as is a knowledge of the engineering metal trades and plastics industries.
