N.S.W. yacht well ahead
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The top New South Wales 12-foot-yacht, Sunset Motels, sailed by I. Murray, took a strangle-hold on the interdominion series for the Silasec Trophy in the fifth race of the series sailed yesterday. Murray could manage to sail Sunset Motels only into third place behind fellow Australian representatives Walpurgis Wrath (P. Stevenson) and Freshwater Sails (B. Hewish). However, Sunset’s points lead was little affected by the result. The yacht has not finished further back than third in any race of the series.
