Croquet win surprises

The 17-year-old New Zealand representative. Paul Skinley (Manawatu). had a surprisingly easy 26-1 victory over the title-holder, Roger Murfitt (Canterbury), in a second-life open singles match when the South Island croquet championships continued in Christchurch yesterday. Skinlev also combined with the Dunedin player. William Bulloch, in a second-life championship doubles match to avenge an earlier first-life defeat at the hands of Murfitt and Dennis Bulloch .'D’at'oi.
