Thomas fairly comfortable
The Riccarton apprentice. Perry Thomas, was in a fairly comfortable condition in Timaru Hospital yesterday after his fall at Washdyke on Saturday. Thomas was riding Irish Jan in the Fairlie Maiden when the horse fell. Thomas was admitted to hospital for observation. An inquiry into the incident was adjourned until evidence could be heard from Thomas. M C. Thornley, the rider of Whistling Time in the A. R. Waugh Handicap, was fined $3O for causing interference to French Step <M. McPhie), with resultant interference to Molly Grey <M Mein , about 200 m after the start
