Hounsell out
Canterbury will be without one of its opening bowlers, Alan Hounsell, for the match against Central Districts which begins at Nelson tomorrow.
Hounsell is not available for personal reasons, and has been replaced by David Trist. Doug Bracewell, the off-spin bowler, is also in the Canterbury 12 for this third match in the first round of the new Shell series.
Canterbury leads the com-
petition at present, by three points from Otago. In the round which finished yesterday, all matches were drawn and there has been no outright victory so far, although Canterbury has twice been desperately close to success. The points are:—
