Commercial flight
A Soviet Tul44 supersonic airliner left Moscow on its first commercial flight. The aircraft was carrying freight and mail to Alma Ata, capital of the Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan. The aircraft's effect on the environment will continue to be studied. — Moscow.
