WESTLAND CATCHMENT BOARD AND REGIONAL WATER BOARD SOIL CONSERVATOR/ ASSISTANT SOIL CONSERVATOR APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for the above position, which is a new one, designed to supplement the role of the board’s existing Soil Conservator. Duties will include preparation of soil and water farm plans, drainage farm plans, environmental impact reports, and some economic reports, as well as inspection of sawmilling areas from Karamea to Haast. Minimum qualifications would be B.Agr.Sc, or Dip.V.F.M. and although experience in soil conservation would be an advantage, this is not essential.
