N.Z. MUTUAL FUNDS PROPERTIES NOW EXCEED $l6 MILLION

N.Z. Mutual Funds (M.F.L.) the largest property-based mutual superannuation fund in New Zealand, has announced the purchase of three further properties. Property holdings of M.F.L. members total 57 with a total value of $16,308,132. Investments in Government and Local Bodies Securities now totals $4,414,395 bringing total assets to in excess of $2O million. An 8300 sq. ft warehouse ; and office building erected by : Davison Group/A.G.H. at Avondale, Auckland, has been purchased and leased on a 21 year term to Neeco, a subsidiary of Cable Price Corporation. At McColl Street, Newmarket, Auckland, a new twostoreyed warehouse and office building has been purchased for $195,000 and leased long term to a wholesale Pharmaceutical Distributing Company. Swiss Homes, Ltd, were the builders and the propertyagent was Brown and Taunt, Ltd. M.F.L. has purchased land and 8 tourist flats sited adjacent to the Ramada Inn, Queenstown, which is owned by N.Z. Mutual Funds. The I Ramada Inn lease has recently been transferred to Vacation Hotels, who are also leasing the additional tourist i flats to provide staff accommodation. M.F.L. members have received over 10 per cent per annum tax free for the past 5 years, together with tax exemption on their contribuI tions. —Advt.
