Crothall buys Australian subsidiary
Crothall and Company, Ltd, has acquired the balance of the shareholding in Crothall Holdings Ltd, Australia, the consideration for this acquisition being by way of an issue of ordinary shares.
Crothall Holdings comimenced in Australia in 1958, and has been a subsidiary company since the purchase of a majority of the shareholding in June, 1973. The Australian operations are concentrated in the rapidly developing commercial building markets throughout all states. The Australian head office management team based in Sydney is headed by Mr R. A. Simmonds, managing director, and a director of Crothall and Company. The company has recently broken new ground in Australia with the gaining of two hospital contracts in Adelaide and management staff from New Zealand are already in Australia to assist with these projects. Mr D. R. J. Weir, previously marketing director of Crothall Holdings has been appointed managing director of Crothall Hospital Services (Aust.) Pty., Ltd, the subsidiary company set up to handle hospital contracts in Australia.
“This total acquisition of Australian interests will enable the group to integrate more fully development throughout ’ Australasia as well as Hong Kong where the company operates with local partners.”
