Air service sold
(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, Dec. 10. Two Nelson men have bought a major share in Capital Air Services, the airline established and run by the Wellington Aero Club. Mr S. W. Carter, of Nelson, said that more than 50 per cent of shareholding had been bpught by James Aviation, of Hamilton, and he and another Nelson man had taken the rest. Capital Air Services will continue to fly its mainly non-scheduled air service on the Wellington-Blenheim - Nelson - Westport - Greymouth - Christchurch - Wellington circuit, with a night’s stop in Christchurch, from February 1. The airline’s WellingtonNelson - Palmerston North and return service will also continue.
On February 1 the line will introduce an additional service from Wellington through Blenheim to Christchurch and return, as well as its existing Wellington - Blenheim - Nelson flights.
