Chappell in gun again
MELBOURNE. The former Australian cricket captain. lan Chappell, faces possible suspension after being reported bv the umpires in the South AustraliaVictoria Sheffield Shield match on Monday. The South Australian team manager (Mr Cecil Siarrl confirmed yesterday that Channel) had been reported. He said he had given a conv of the umoires* renort to the slate cricket association secretary (Mr Neil Blundell*. Mr Starr would not reveal the contents of the report, but newspapers said Chappell was alleged to have used abusive language to the umnires. The South Australian Cricket Association warned Chappell and three state team-mates ;■ month ago that they faced, suspension if they were reported again. The warning came after umpires’ reports alleging misconduct and had language h> the four during another Sheffield Shield game.
