Milk up to 11c —Labour
<¥.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON. December 9 The price of milk would probably have increased to 6c a pint next year under a Labour Government, the outgoing Minister of Agriculture (Mr Moyle) said today. A realistic price for milk, now selling at 4c a pint, would be He, he said at a press conference. “We would have phased out the subsidy over a number of years,” he said. “I would have expected 2c on the next coming year.” The Labour Government had not increased the price because of the high rate of inflation during the last few years. If the price had been suddenly increased, there would have been pressure for wage increases, which in turn would have increased inflation, he said.
