Pharmacy burglary charges
(From Our own Reporter) NELSON, Dec. 9. Two young Nelson men were remanded for a week on bail, when they appeared before Mr K. H. J. Headifen, S.M., in the Nelson Magistrate’s Court today in connection with the burglary of the Golden Bay pharmacy, Takaka, at the week-end. Michael Robert Walling, aged 20, an unemployed blocklayer, and Mitchell Rennie Watson, aged 21, an unemployed carpenter, were each charged with cultivating cannabis. Walling was also charged with attempting to break and enter the pharmacy on December 7 and with having received goods valued at $166, the property of the pharmacy. Watson was also charged with breaking and entering the pharmacy.
