STUDIO 393 DISPLAY
Pottery by Mirek Smiseki and his wife. Jane BeverleySmisek. is being shown at Studio 393, Montreal Street, this week, in a special .Christmas exhibition which also includes work sent from Dunedin by Michael Trumic, and work by a number of Canterbury, potters. The studio is also showing paintings by Graeme Clemont, of Nelson, who was a! finalist in the 1974 Benson and Hedges competition. Mr Clemont was born in ChristI church in 1951, and began painting in Auckland in 1968. He has received tuition from Don Binney and Michael Illingworth, but has had no other formal training. He specialises in landscape.
