Almost every major noil lain breeder has agreed to -»-H yearlings at Claudelands Show grounds from 1977. the northern branch of the Neyx Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders Association announced yesterday. This is expected to for«’r the closure' of the Wellington xenur. Hamilton’s ( laudclands grounds have eatcied for the overflow from Trent ham for several years, despite the fact that more than 60 per cent of the top yearlings are taken to Welling ton from Waikato .buyers and have Io be transported back to Auckland Io b© shipped out of the count rx Most of the yearlings bought by New Zealanders are also returned north to join stublrs in Auckland and Waikato. It is believed the announcement may have headed off possible Government intervention over the fuel wastage invoked.
