Mail delay to Canada
Delays in delivery of mail in Canada are continuing because of a strike by postal workers there.
The Canadian postal authorities have told the New Zealand Post Office that an early settlement of the dispute is unlikely.
The Post Office in Christchurch says that the air mail service has been suspended until the strike is over; surface mail is still being accepted, sent to Canada, and held there.
