Tribesmen flee into Thailand
(N.Z.P. A.Reuter—Copyright) BANGKOK, More than 13,000 people from Laos and Cambodia have crossed into Thailand in recent weeks, bringing the total number of refugees to about 68,000 since April. The 13,000 refugees, mostly Meo hill tribesmen, crossed (into the provinces of Chieng Rai in the north and Nong Khai. Udon Thani, Nakhon iPhanom and Übon Rachathani in the north-east, near the Laotian border. Official confirmation on ithe reports was not available.
